DOT To Close Ramp On U.S. 70 In Durham County

DURHAM, N.C. — The N.C. Department of Transportation will close the westbound U.S. 70 ramp accessing southbound Interstate 85 at 9 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Motorists traveling west on U.S. 70 needing to access I-85 South will use the following detour:

Take the I-85 North exit (Exit 285) to East Club Boulevard (Exit 178) back to I-85 South.

Authorities will be directing the detour at East Club Boulevard.

The closure is necessary to remove and replace temporary concrete barrier wall along the ramp as part of the I-85 widening project.
