FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Construction on another section of Interstate 295, also known as the Fayetteville Outer Loop, will begin in November, state transportation officials said Friday.

The Department of Transportation awarded a $54.3 million contract to R.E. Goodson Construction Co., of Darlington, S.C., to build 1.9-miles of I-295 from Yadkin Road to west of Bragg Boulevard. The highway would then connect Bragg Boulevard and All American Freeway, where an interchange will be built.

The work is expected to be finished by July 2015.
