Power restored along Cary's Harrison Avenue

— A power outage knocked out traffic lights along Harrison Avenue in Cary just past 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The outage impacted areas between Interstate 40 and NE Maynard Road. The blackout was caused "by damage to our equipment," according to a Duke Energy outage map.

Power was restored in the area by 5:30 p.m.

    our neighborhood had a "damage to our equipment" outage several weeks ago. It was a pine limb from the snow/ice storm that fell out of a tree, short-circuited two power lines, and started a fire.
