Raleigh police arrested a teenager on Wednesday in connection to the death of a 13-year-old girl earlier in the week. According to the Raleigh Police Department, Mykia Daniel, an eighth-grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh Apartment. Police said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released at the appropriate time.

<b>MORRISVILLE, N.C.</b> — A few students suffered bumps and bruises Wednesday afternoon when a Wake County school bus carrying 43 students from Davis Drive Middle School was involved in a crash at Morrisville Parkway and Davis Drive, a school district spokeswoman said.

Bus No. 481 was rear-ended by a van, according to Lisa Luten, spokeswoman for Wake County public schools.

The Town of Morrisville asked drivers to avoid the intersection through the evening rush hour.
