An allergy alert from was issued from Trader Joe's of Monrovia, California on Monday for undeclared milk in two types of chocolate bars that were distributed to stores nationwide.

Trader Joe's issues nationwide milk allergen alert on chocolate bars
MONROVIA, CALIF. — An allergy alert from was issued from Trader Joe's of Monrovia, California on Monday for undeclared milk in two types of chocolate bars that were distributed to stores nationwide.

Two allergic reactions have already been reported.

The grocery chain voluntarily issued the alert on their Chocolate Orange Sticks and their Chocolate Raspberry Sticks when the products were found to contain more than the "stated traces of milk" on the packaging labels. These traces, while minor, could impact people with an allergies or sensitivities to milk products. People with severe milk allergies run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these products.

All affected products have been removed from Trader Joe's shelves, and customers nationwide can return the products to Trader Joe's stores for a full refund. Customers with questions may contact Trader Joe's customer relations at (626) 599- 3817 during weekday hours.
