<b>CLINTON, N.C.</b> — Clinton police said that an 18-wheeler carrying auto supplies overturned on N.C. Highway 24 Friday morning, shutting down the highway that runs from Sampson County to Fayetteville.

Police said that the tractor-trailer ran into power lines about 2 miles west of Clinton, but power is still on.

The highway will be blocked until the truck can be towed away. Traffic was being detoured.
