A toddler was taken to the hospital Sunday night after nearly downing. The 20-month-old was transported to WakeMed just after 6:45 p.m.

<b>GARNER, N.C.</b> — A toddler was taken to the hospital Sunday night after nearly drowning.

The 20-month-old was transported to WakeMed just after 6:45 p.m.

The 911 call came from a home on Leach Drive off Highway 50 in Johnston County.

The toddler apparently wandered next door and fell in the neighbor’s pool.  The neighbor rescued her and called 911.

The girl's name has not been released. She is listed in stable condition at WakeMed.
