CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A two-year-old boy who was found unresponsive in a Cumberland County pool Monday evening has died.
A GoFundMe page for Landon Adams, who was just shy of his third birthday, said he died Friday.

The toddler was found in the pool during a family gathering at 6645 Carriage Crossing Drive in the Grey’s Creek Area. The homeowner, Jason Adams, started CPR on his nephew, who was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and placed on life support.

According to a family post on Facebook, the incident Monday occurred during a celebration, exactly one year after Adams’ 11-month-old daughter fell into the same pool.

On Tuesday, authorities with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said they would be taking a close look at the incident because of the coincidence of two similar tragedies at the same location and involving the same family.
