A 3-year-old boy who was transported to the hospital after he was found at the bottom of a hotel pool in Durham has died, a police spokeswoman said Sunday. 

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A 3-year-old boy who was transported to the hospital after he was found at the bottom of a hotel pool in Durham has died, a police spokeswoman said Sunday. 

The child was found at the Days Inn, 3460 Hillsborough Road, just before 4 p.m. Thursday. He was taken Duke University Hospital.
