Toddler dies of injuries from Fayetteville wreck; mother charged

Posted August 11, 2010

— A 2-year-old girl injured in a wreck on Country Club Drive in Fayetteville last month has died, her grandfather said Wednesday.

Ayreon Guillory was riding with her mother, Syreeta Fultz, on July 27 when their car crossed the center line and collided head-on with a dump truck. She died three days after the wreck.

Firefighters had to cut away the top of the car to free Fultz, 29. She remains in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she is undergoing physical therapy.

Fultz’s other children – Jeremiah, 6, and Isaiah, 8 – were also injured in the crash. Jeremiah was treated at Cape Fear Valley and released. Isaiah remains hospitalized.

Police on Wednesday charged Syreeta Fultz, of Ruby Drive, with exceeding safe speed for conditions and improper child restraint.

I was cursed out last week in Myrtle Beach for calling a women, who happeded to have birthed 3 children a child abuser. She had her daughter pulled by the jaw, so that her feet wouldn't touch the ground. The child was screaming bloody murder. It happened more than once. Therefore, I got out my phone, told her what she was and took her pic. She told me to mind my business. I told her I would, as soon as she quit having children to abuse. People speak up when you see something like this. If you do, you never know if you just saved life. That childs father had to drag his wife into the hotel, to keep her from rushing me. I wish she had. And yes, I am a female. Again, do something people.

Speaking of improper child restraint, I saw a minivan the other day that was pulling out of the strip club on Angier Ave in Durham, where Crystal Mangum worked, and the driver, a man, was holding an infant in one arm, infant's head at the window rolled down.

    So awesome.
