FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 2-year-old girl injured in a wreck on Country Club Drive in Fayetteville last month has died, her grandfather said Wednesday.

Ayreon Guillory was riding with her mother, Syreeta Fultz, on July 27 when their car crossed the center line and collided head-on with a dump truck. She died three days after the wreck.

Firefighters had to cut away the top of the car to free Fultz, 29. She remains in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she is undergoing physical therapy.

Fultz’s other children – Jeremiah, 6, and Isaiah, 8 – were also injured in the crash. Jeremiah was treated at Cape Fear Valley and released. Isaiah remains hospitalized.

Police on Wednesday charged Syreeta Fultz, of Ruby Drive, with exceeding safe speed for conditions and improper child restraint.
