RALEIGH, N.C. — Good morning and welcome to Today@NCCapitol for Monday, May 2.
NO VOTES: The House and the Senate have sessions scheduled for 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. Neither chamber has any bills on its calendar action. There are no committee meetings on the legislative calendar.
FROM THE WEEKEND: The North Carolina Republican Party removed Chairman Hasan Harnett from the top job on Saturday, replacing him with former Congressman Robin Hayes.
ON THE RECORD: This weekend's episode of "On the Record" featured education reporter Kelly Hinchcliffe talking about education funding, as well as Laura Leslie and Mark Binker discussing the latest on fallout from House Bill 2.
