RALEIGH, N.C. — Good morning and welcome to Today @NCCapitol for Thursday, June 11. Here's what's going on at the General Assembly and around state government.
OVERRIDE: Will Thursday finally be the day for the House to take a vote on whether to override Gov. Pat McCrory's veto of Senate Bill 2? That bill would let magistrates and county register of deeds employees opt out of performing marriages and is largely viewed as a way of giving employees a way out of participating in same-sex marriages.

The Senate voted for the override 10 days ago, but the House has delayed a vote as Speaker Tim Moore counted the votes. Several House Republicans confirmed on background Wednesday night that they expect Moore, R-Cleveland, to call for a vote Thursday.

WRAL.com plans to carry the House session live online at 10 a.m. Check the Video Central box on the homepage.
SENATE: The state Senate will meet at 11 a.m. Among the bills on its calendar is a measure that changes the state law that requires all counties to switch back to paper ballots.
THE GOVERNOR: McCrory will be in the Piedmont pitching his $3 billion bond package for roads and state buildings.
COMMITTEES: The legislature publishes full committee calendar daily. Here are some of the committees we'll be watching:
HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS: Members of the House's budget committee meet at 8:30 a.m. and expect to take up the Medicaid reform bill that was rolled out Wednesday.
SENATE INSURANCE: Members of the Senate Insurance Committee meet at 9:30 a.m. to take up a bill that would require moped drivers to carry insurance.
SENATE HEALTH: The Senate Health Committee will review a bill at 10 a.m. that would allow terminally ill patients to try experimental treatments not yet fully approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
