DURHAM, N.C. — The World Beer Festival in Durham isn't until October, but you can grab your tickets starting Thursday.

The festival, presented by All About Beer magazine, will be held Oct. 11 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

As with the Raleigh festival, visitors will have a chance to taste and sample hundreds of craft and specialty beers in two-ounce pours while supplies last. There will be two four-hour sessions – noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets for each session are sold separately.

A general admission ticket, which is $55, will get you a tasting glass for unlimited 2-ounce tastings, music by local bands, educational sessions by industry experts and a festival program.

VIP tickets, which include a World Beer Festival commemorative glass, VIP lounge access and other perks, are $70 a person.

All About Beer magazine subscribers have access to a special pre-sale going on now, and tickets go on sale to the general public starting at noon Thursday on All About Beer's website.
