Tinker, make, create at Museum of Life and Science exhibit
A pop-up exhibit at the Museum of Life and Science this month lets kids - and their adults - make and create

Tinker Works is open through Nov. 20 and features several stations where kids can build with blocks and even large cardboard pieces; experiment with circuits; learn about simple machines; and take part in fiber art activities, including a large-scale loom.
The pop-up exhibit, which is inside the museum's main building, is one in a series of exhibits that pop up every couple of months at the Durham museum.
"It's a fun way to introduce something new," said Trish Lemm, the museum's innovation and learning manager.
The exhibits are designed for kids and adults to work together to build and create.
"Tinkering is such a natural activity for anybody," Lemm said. "Inevitably, they drop in."
Tinker Works is free with admission, which is $16 and $11 for kids ages 3 to 12.
