Raleigh, N.C. — About 500,000 Time Warner Cable customers are experiencing phone outages, according to a company spokesman.
"There's a technical issue preventing about 11 percent of phone customers placing or receiving calls on an intermittent basis," spokesman Scott Pryzwansky said Sunday night.
It's unclear how many of those outages are in the Triangle area. Pryzwansky said the outage spans across the TWC service area.
"Our engineers are working on the problem and are restoring service as quickly as possible," he added, although he did not give a timeframe on when the service might be restored.
