Time to Consign: Fall/winter consignment sale season begins

Posted July 9, 2014

It's that time of year again. Dozens of children's consignment sales across the region are setting dates, finding locations and accepting registrations for events that begin this month and continue through at least October.

As usual, the massive Kids Exchange at the N.C. State Fairgrounds opens the season. The public sale runs from July 25 to July 27 with early shopping for consignors and shoppers.

But that's just the beginning. Our list has nearly 40 sales across the region. Most, but not all, have squared away their locations and dates. I'll update the list moving forward.

They'll be showcasing fall and winter items. This is the time to stock up on winter boots, coats, hats and other warm clothes (or pull them out of your closets to sell).

I'm not a huge consignment sale seller, but I always try to come out even - selling about as much as I buy.

Our consignment sale database is searchable by county and the name of the sale. (The list does not work on smartphones).

Happy shopping and selling!
