Tickets sell out for first day of bluegrass festival

Tickets for the first day of IBMA's two-day Wide Open Bluegrass Festival have sold out.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Tickets have sold out for the first day of IBMA's Wide Open Bluegrass festival's performances at Red Hat Amphitheater, organizers announced Monday.

While tickets are sold out for Friday, Oct. 2, there are a limited number still available for Saturday, Oct. 3.

The festival is part of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s World of Bluegrass event held Sept. 29-Oct. 3, 2015. 

In addition to the ticketed events at Red Hat Amphitheater, there will also be a free street festival Oct. 2-3 in downtown Raleigh featuring food, music and performances.
