Tickets available Monday for Michelle Obama appearances

The first lady will stump for her husband and promote voter registration during two public appearances Wednesday. She will visit North Carolina Central University in Durham at 11:30 a.m., and East Carolina University at 3 p.m.

DURHAM, N.C. — Students at universities in Durham and Greenville will have their first chance Monday morning to get tickets to see Michelle Obama, who will visit the campuses this week.

The first lady will stump for her husband and promote voter registration during two public appearances Wednesday. She is scheduled to speak at North Carolina Central University in Durham about 1:30 p.m., and East Carolina University at 5:45 p.m.

Both events are free and open to the public, but space is limited.

NCCU students with valid student IDs can get tickets, starting at 9 a.m., at the Alfonso Elder Student Union, Room 104B, 505 Nelson St. Tickets will also be given out at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

In Greenville, tickets will be available at 10 a.m. Distribution will continue at 10 a.m. Tuesday if any tickets remain. Obtain tickets at the Organizing for America campaign offices at 214A E. Arlington St., Greenville, or 2509 Sunset Ave., Rocky Mount.
