Thrill-seekers flock to fair's opening night

Crowds of thrill seekers took advantage of the "Preview Day" Thursday at the North Carolina State Fair.
Best friends Donald Robbins and Sara White were among those willing to spend $28 for a wristband to ride all night. Their day started at 3:30 p.m., right after the gates opened.
Ride operators said lines remained long all evening, perhaps a harbinger of big crowd for the rest of the fair's run through Oct. 27.
