Three wrecks clog I-40 in Raleigh
Three wrecks involving at least five vehicles had traffic crawling through Raleigh Wednesday night on eastbound Interstate 40 near Wade Avenue.

Troopers said a tractor-trailer rear-ended a Jeep Cherokee and two other fender benders happened in the back-up caused by that wreck. No information about the people involved in the wrecks or any injuries was available.
The right two lanes were closed beginning at about 6:30 p.m., according to the N.C. Department of Transportation. Lanes had reopened by 8:30 p.m.
