ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Three people were wounded early Sunday in a shooting outside a Rocky Mount club, police said Monday.

Officers responded to a disorderly conduct call at Club Element, at 1127 Benvenue Road, at about 2:25 a.m. Sunday. A fender-bender in the parking lot led to an altercation that escalated into gunfire, police said.

Jordan Olivia Moody, 19, was shot in the head and was listed in critical condition Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital. Jerez Montre Norwood, 21, was shot in the leg and was treated at Nash General Hospital and released. Tyshawn Adams, 26, was grazed on his arm by a bullet and didn't require medical attention.

Shaki Darrell Jones, 21, no address available, was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was being held Monday in the Nash County Jail under a $95,000 secured bond.

Police said they expect more arrests in the case, which remains under investigation.
