RALEIGH, N.C. — Police said Monday that they have charged three Wakefield High School students in a recent string of BB gun shootings that shattered windows in north Raleigh.

Che’ Cahvez Wilson, 18, Leroy Kendall Johnson, 16, and Quinton Ridges, 18, have been charged with injury to personal property.

Several vehicles parked in the Wakefield development had their back windows shot out by a BB gun in late April. Packaging for a BB gun was found in a nearby shopping center parking lot.

An application to search Ridges' cellphone noted that he had sent a WRAL News story about the BB shootings to several friends and then traded texts with friends about it.

Police said more arrests are likely.
