Triangle companies up for Martha Stewart American Made award

Humdinger Juice of Raleigh, Cottage Lane Kitchen of Chapel Hill and Foster's Market in Durham are vying for the honor.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Several Triangle companies are finalists in the Martha Stewart American Made competition.

Humdinger Juice in Raleigh, Cottage Lane Kitchen in Chapel Hill and Foster's Market in Durham are the only food finalists from the Tar Heel State.

The American Made awards honor makers, small-business owners and creative entrepreneurs in the fields of crafts, design, food, and style.

Humdinger is Raleigh's first, locally made, cold-pressed, 100 percent organic vegetable and fruit juice delivery company.

Cottage Lane Kitchen's Spicy Pepper Relish is made from a family recipe passed down through generations.

Foster's Market is a finalist for its seven-pepper jelly that it has been making for the past 25 years.

Haand, of Graham, N.C., was named a finalist in the design category. The company describes itself as "farmhouse futuristic, with an eye toward the future and a deep respect for the past."
