NASHVILLE, N.C. — Three people were shot at a convenience store Sunday night in the Sandy Cross community in Nashville, Nash County Sheriff Dick Jenkins said.

The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. at La Pasada Mexican Grill, at 5902 S. N.C. Highway 58.

A description of the shooter was vague. Jenkins said investigators are looking for a man who was wearing a plaid shirt, blue jeans and cowboy boots and was last seen in a green Dodge Dakota pickup truck.

He did not comment on a possible motive for the crime.

The victims were taken to Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, and two were later transported to a hospital in Greenville. Their conditions weren't available Sunday night.
