Three rescued from Fayetteville house fire

Posted December 15, 2014

— Fayetteville firefighters rescued three residents early Sunday from a burning home on June Place.

Firefighters said they arrived shortly before 1 a.m. to the home in the Colonial Village neighborhood off Rim Road and saw flames at the back of the structure. They forced their way inside and found three people, who were removed from the home.

All three were treated on the scene for smoke inhalation, authorities said.

Firefighters think the blaze started outside the home and extended into the dwelling. The cause is under investigation.

Damage to the home was estimated at $8,000.
