Three people shot in Henderson

Vance County authorities are investigating after three people were shot Sunday in Henderson.

HENDERSON, N.C. — Vance County authorities are investigating a triple shooting in Henderson on Sunday afternoon.

The shooting happened at about 4 p.m. in the 400 block of Merriman Street, and officers found Eddie Williams, 41, and Michael Brodie, 39, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

Both men were taken by ambulance to Maria Parham Hospital. A third victim, Antonio Hart, 33, was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, police said.

Brodie and Hart were later transferred to Duke University Hospital, but none of the three suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

Despite initial reports that a man had been charged in the shooting, police said no arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon.
