For fans of Educated and The Glass Castle, here’s your next favorite memoir that will make you say out loud “Well, my family’s not this crazy”. 'Cheryl' is the youngest of three children with parents who move them from country to country, continent to continent. Repeatedly changing their names, documents and histories, the family must continually learn its new backstory created by the father. Honestly, it all feels kind of fun and exciting at first, but the reader wants to know, what are these people running from? And where do they get all that money for the beautiful homes, hotels, private charter flights? This fast-paced story is fantastic, in the true sense of the word.

JP Brammer has given us a heart-wrenchingly hilarious read in the form of a survey of his advice column for Grindr. He delivers brutally honest accounts of childhood bullying that brought tears to my eyes and follows with outrageously funny stories as he navigates dating as a gay man in the Deep South. I was laughing out loud at his dating escapades, his work reviewing porn, and his break up in a parking lot. Brammer’s voice is his own & so worth the read.

Trejo is the inspirational and often alarming story of a true American Icon. An amazing read you won't be able to put down.
