Three more charged in Nashville home invasion

NASHVILLE, N.C. — Nash County authorities said Wednesday that three more people have been charged in a Nashville home invasion last month.

Tavaris Delano Battle, 28, of Daniel Drive in Elm City, Tangi Sonyette Williams, 35, of Paul Street in Rocky Mount, and Tremayne Antione Lynch, 34, of Straight Gate Road in Whitakers, were each charged with three counts of first-degree kidnapping, one count of first-degree burglary and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The home invasion occurred at a home on Old White Oak Road on Jan. 27.

Gregory Devonte Robertson, 18, of Hyatt Way in Rocky Mount, Tony Marichal Sharp, 19, of Weaver Circle in Sharpsburg, and Byron Dale Whitaker, 21, of Sharpe Road in Sharpsburg, were arrested last week on the same charges.

Whitaker also faces charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual offense.

Battle was being held in the Nash County jail under a $1.764 million bond, while Williams was being held under a $300,000 bond. Lynch was arrested in Maryland and is awaiting extradition.
