Three more charged in fatal Roxboro shooting

Frederick Lamont Satterfield was killed and Greg Pulliam was wounded on Nov. 10 in a shooting on South Main Street, near the Person County Courthouse, police said.

ROXBORO, N.C. — Three more people have been charged in a fatal shooting in downtown Roxboro last month.

Durand Lashawn Long, 21, of 323 Depot St. in Roxboro, and Terrence Kittrell Chavous, 25, of 301 Broad St. in Roxboro, were each charged with one count each of first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Donald Kentrael Poteat, 19, of 304 Nichols Ave. in Roxboro, was charged with two counts of being an accessory after the fact and a probation violation.

Matthew Euliss Long, 20, surrendered to investigators two days later at a McDonald's in Hillsborough and was charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.
