Three men wanted in Lillington store holdup

Police said two men robbed the Kangaroo Express while a third waited in the car.

LILLINGTON, N.C. — Lillington police are searching for a trio who robbed a convenience store clerk at gunpoint Sunday before fleeing in a dark-colored car.

Police said two men entered the Kangaroo Express at 1404 S. Main Street about 5:15 p.m., showed a handgun and demanded money. The suspects took cartons of cigarettes and cash before getting into a car, possibly a black Dodge Charge, driven by a third suspect.

The car was last seen traveling toward Fayetteville on U.S. Highway 401 South.
