Wanted men surrender in Henderson teen's slaying

Three men facing murder charges in the February shooting death of a Henderson teen turned themselves in on Thursday, police said.

HENDERSON, N.C. — Three men facing murder charges in the February shooting death of a Henderson teen turned themselves in on Thursday, police said.

Corey Cheek, 17, Gary Treshon Holden, 21, and Ramek Holden, 18, are each charged with first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, discharging a firearm in the city, felony inciting a riot and felony street gang activity.

Investigators say the three men, along with 20-year-old Daquan Ortiz and a 14-year-old juvenile, gunned down 17-year-old Ja'Quon Seward on the corner of David and Nicholas streets on Feb. 21.
