GARNER, N.C. — Garner police said Saturday that they are looking for three men wanted in connection with an armed robbery on Penny Street.

According to authorities, three men forced their way into a home on Penny Street, off West Garner Street, just after 3 a.m. and held Crystal Willis, Jeremy Dunlap and a 9-year-old child at gunpoint.

Dunlap was seriously injured during the robbery but was in good condition at WakeMed Sunday morning. The child was uninjured.

Willis escaped during the robbery and fled to a neighbor's house. Shortly afterwards, the men fled in a white SUV.

Authorities identified one suspect as 23-year-old Amarvi Vernon Thompson. Garner police are attempting to locate Thompson and have charged him with first-degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon. The other two men were described as black males with dreadlocks, authorities said.

A reward is being offered for information on Thompson's whereabouts and the identities of the other suspects in the crime. Anyone with information should call 919-772-8810.
