Three men sought in Chapel Hill shooting

A man was shot during a fight outside the Time Out Restaurant on Franklin Street early Tuesday, and Chapel Hill police are searching for three men who are believed to be involved.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A man was shot during a fight outside the Time Out Restaurant on Franklin Street early Tuesday, and Chapel Hill police are searching for three men who are believed to be involved.

The victim's name was not released, but police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of University Square, at 133 W. Franklin St., around 3:30 a.m.

Police released three images taken from a nearby security camera before the shooting and asked for the public's help in identifying the three men.

Anyone with information should contact the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515 or online. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
