— Fayetteville police are searching for three men who are accused of killing one person and injuring another in a shooting at a Fayetteville party early Monday.

Police say the men, whose names were not released, were attending the party with about a dozen other people at a home at 1937 Westhill Drive.

Shortly before 3 a.m., the men brought out weapons, began robbing people at the party and fired several shots, police said.

The shooting victims' names were not released. The victim who survived was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the men left with two women in a white, newer model Nissan sedan.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).

You can bet the gun-wielding thieves don't have their weapons legally. The laws are only for law-abiding citizens and do nothing to take weapons from criminals or mentally unstable people. If they want them, they will still get them illegally on the black market or by stealing them.

"The Fayetteville PD might be the most inept law enforcement agency in the entire country." Obamacare survives

You blame the police for this happening? Ok, then you tell us exactly where and when the next shooting in Fayetteville is going to happen.

Why would anyone invite 3 people to a party at their home, who would be capable of pulling guns and robbing the people at the party and SHOOTING them? Sounds as if they could have been strangers to the homeowners who should never have been let in the front door.

I sure hope the partiers weren't too hung over to get up and go to work today.

Sounds like a gathering of felons, doing those things felons enjoy doing. Thank our liberal justice system for allowing these types to celebrate their freedom in this fashion.

corgimom06.... turn in your freedom and rights for security and you lose both. Guns protect us from evil people, and that includes politicians. Do you really believe more gun laws would will prevent criminals from committing these acts???? Really???? Or, or gun laws made form law abiding citizens who would never do something like this.

If you believe 90% of the people support the gun restrictions as proposed then I have some land I want to sell you. Obviously you believe anything you read. And I am sure you also believe the media is balanced and fair. Enjoy the kool-aid!

Anyone who believes tighter gun laws would have prevented this, get real. These guys most assuredly didn't have legally registered weapons.
