Three injured in separate Durham shootings

print friendly

Three men were injured Monday in two shootings in Durham, police said.

The first happened around 3:40 p.m. in the 900 block of West Trinity Avenue. Two men were shot, but were taken to a local hospital before police arrived on the scene. No other information was released.

About two hours later, a 24-year-old man was shot while standing outside a home in the 1000 block of Drew Street. The man, whose name hasn't been releases, was hospitalized with critical injuries, police said.

Police are searching for a newer-model silver or gray Nissan Altima with multiple occupants in the Drew Street shooting.

The two shootings happened less than 2 miles apart, but there was no information indicating that investigators believe they are related.

No charges have been in either case.

Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.

Round up the usual suspects.

...and on the most recent episode of fools with guns... smh.

And a happy MLK Day to you too.

if its a shooting ... it makes the news. yet the ERs are full of victims of other problems ... cuz you can't get seen for hours if you go to any one of them.

Sometimes I feel like they want the public's help, but they dont release enough info on the situation...& yes, they do know more than what they say. I understand some things have to be left private until the investigation is over, but I just feel like, if they want our help, we need more to go on! Just MY Opinion!
