Three charged in theft of Wal-Mart meat
Three people have been arrested after allegedly shoplifting $93 worth of meat from a local Wal-Mart, Fayetteville Police Sgt. M. Buena said.

The incident took place Thursday while officers were participating in the Shop with a Cop program at the store, located on Ramsey Street.
Jeffrey Dale Price, 42, of the Carolina Motor Inn on Gillespie Street and James Nash Butler, 62, whose address was unavailable, were each charged with one count of larceny. Price also faces a probation violation.
Kristina Ellen Furlong, 28, who is homeless, was charged with second-degree trespassing.
About 25 officers were in the store when they heard of an apparent shoplifting.
Employees told the officers that the suspects had just driven away. In an unmarked police car, officers caught up with the suspects’ vehicle near the intersection of Ramsey Street and McArthur Road.
The vehicle contained meat and a rack of ribs, authorities said.
