Three charged in Raleigh bank robbery

A bank robbery on Thursday led Raleigh police to arrest three men and a woman in connection with a series of robberies over the past three months.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A bank robbery on Thursday  led Raleigh police to arrest three men and a woman in connection with a series of robberies over the past three months.

Billy Ray Lawrence III, 19, of 4900 Pebble Beach Drive Apt. C, Cedric Lamont Miles, 21, of 1331 N. Raleigh Blvd., Gary Anthony Powell, 21, of 3917-C Hylton Drive, face armed robbery and conspiracy charges in connection with the robbery of an RBC Bank at 2414 Wycliff Road.

Lawrence and Lasheka Lynette Marshall, 19, of 1501 Quail Ridge Road Apt. 220B, were also charged with the armed robberies of two Internet gaming cafes in September and August.

Lawrence and Miles were also charged in the robbery of two convenience stores in late September.

All four suspects were being held in the Wake County jail Saturday.

Lawrence had a $1 million bond, Miles $350,000 bond, Marshall $300,000 bond, and Powell a $75,000 bond.

State Department of Records show that only Miles had prior criminal convictions. He as convicted of misdemeanor breaking and entering in 2007.
