RALEIGH, N.C. — Police charged three people Tuesday in connection with a fatal early-morning shooting at a north Raleigh apartment complex.

Officers responding to an emergency call at Brentwood West Apartments, at 3831 Brentwood Road, found Trevon Shaihid Beard, 19, in a vehicle parked at the scene.

Brothers Bionta Eugene Bryant, 17, and Robert Alphonso Bryant, 19, both of 2641-232 Appliance Court, were later arrested at a motel on Appliance Court – about 3 miles from where the shooting happened – and were charged with murder.

A third man, Isaiah Marquice Beverley, 20, was taken into custody after police received a report of a man walking into Duke Health Raleigh with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

He was transported to WakeMed and will be arrested after his release.

Jim Sughrue, a spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department, said detectives are still looking into the circumstances of both shootings.

"That and other aspects of the case remain under investigation," Sughrue said. "It remains clear that the crime was not a random act."
