Three charged in fatal Fayetteville shooting

Police have arrested and charged two men and one woman in connection with a Wednesday night shooting in Fayetteville that left a 19-year-old dead.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police have arrested two men and one woman in connection with a Wednesday night shooting in Fayetteville that left a 19-year-old dead.

Rajeen McMillan, 19, of Clarksville Court, and Fletcher Terry McLean II, 22, no address available, were arrested Friday have been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy. They were being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center.

Shauntell Surles was arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy. She is also being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center. 

Police responding to a reported shooting at 818 Rembrandt Drive late Wednesday found Guy Leon Mitchell wounded in the home. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital, where he died.

Investigators haven't released other details of the case, including a possible motive and what evidence linked McMillan and McLean to the crime.
