Three charged in connection with shooting on Ward Boulevard in Wilson

Wilson police on Friday charged three men in connection with a shooting on Ward Boulevard that killed 22-year-old Eric Williams.

WILSON, N.C. — Wilson police on Friday charged three men in connection with a shooting on Ward Boulevard that killed 22-year-old Eric Williams. 

Authorities arrested Rayquille Avante Taylor, 20, of Dudley, and Jarvis Shyheim D'Ray Sauls, 18, of Wilson, on Friday and arrested 18-year-old Octavious Rhymes Thompson, of Wilson, Saturday. 

All three men are charged with one count each of first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and discharging a firearm into an occupied property. According to investigators, Williams was shot about 1 a.m. at an apartment complex during an attempted robbery by Taylor, Sauls and Thompson.

All three were in the Wilson County jail Saturday under no bond.
