Three Boys and Girls Clubs in Raleigh damaged in storm

Ralph Capps, president of the Boys and Girls Clubs serving Wake County, said the nearly 300 children who visit the clubs will be moved to the other two clubs in Raleigh which were not damaged.
Children who attend the Washington Elementary Boys & Girls Club, 1000 Fayetteville St., will be transported each day at 10 a.m. to the Brentwood Boys & Girls Club located at 2025 New Hope Church Road. They will be brought back to the Washington club at 5 p.m.
Children attending the The Raleigh Boys Club, 605 N. Raleigh Blvd., and the Raleigh Girls Club, 701 N. Raleigh Blvd., will be transported each day to the Teen Center located at 124 Luther Road. They will not be brought back, so parents will need to pick them up at the Teen Center each day.
Volunteers started cleaning up the clubs on Thursday.
“We got a lot of things we have to take care of in the coming days and weeks,” Capps said.
