Three Bears Acres reopens for summer Thursday

Posted June 12, 2013

Three Bears Acres in northern Wake County will reopen for its summer hours starting Thursday.

The 50-acre outdoor, recreational farm for all ages features a huge play set high up in the trees; toboggan slides; jumping pillow; pond; and a lot of space to roam and explore. Read my earlier post here. We had so much fun and am looking forward to returning this summer!

Summer hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays. The summer schedule runs through Aug. 17.

New admission prices for Three Bears are $7 for adults and $13 for kids. Children under 2 are free.

Check their website and Facebook page for more information.

Moira Roberts, one of the moms behind this fun place, tells me they have some new additions for the summer. They include a water wars area by the tree houses where kids can fill up water guns and have fun. Families also can fish (and release) in the pond. They'll also have a water table near the pond soon.

Three Bears Acres is among the destinations featured in our summer fun guide! Check out what else made the cut!

This looks like a fun place, expensive but fun. I wonder do they have an area for picnics.

That is expensive for a playground.
