Three Bears Acres

Three Bears Acres, the expansive outdoor play space for families in northern Wake County, reopens for the season at 10 a.m., Saturday.

The popular spot features lots of outdoor spaces for kids to run and play, along with play pieces such as a jumping pillow, giant slides, tree house, pond and more. This season, the destination will open with new slides, paddle boats and an updated mud kitchen. Also new: A field trip area called The Growing Garden for preschoolers.

It also will host its second annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 19. Tickets for the egg hunt are $20 for kids ages 3 and up; $5 for kids under 3; and $8 for adults. The ticket price includes a day of play at Three Bears Acres, along with the egg hunt.

You can get your tickets online now through Three Bears Acres' website. (Our Easter event database lists more Easter events across the region).

Regular admission to Three Bears is $5 for seniors; $8 for adults; $15 for kids 3 and up. On Thursdays, kids ages 3 to 5 are $12 with one parent free with a paying child.
