Three Bears Acres

Three Bears Acres in northern Wake County reopens this week for lots of outdoor fun - from the jumping pillow, treehouses and toboggan slide to the mud kitchen, graffiti wall and pond.

The 50-acre space, where kids and their adults are invited to roam, explore and play, will reopen Thursday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday to Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m., Sunday. New this year (and a welcome improvement, I'm sure): a bathroom building.

Three Bear will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 24 to March 28, during spring break. It's also open on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. At 11 a.m., March 28, they'll host an Easter egg hunt.

Admission is $7 for adults; $13 for kids; and free for kids 2 and under. Thursday is Toddler Thursday when kids ages 3 to 5 get in for $10 with one parent free.

Three Bears Acres' website has more information and details about reservations for the egg hunt. Three Bears is at 711 Beaver Dam Rd.
