Three arrested in robbery at ATM

Posted February 1, 2010

— Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested three people in connection with a robbery at an automated teller machine.

A woman told investigators that she was robbed at knifepoint at a Cash Points ATM on Dunn Road in Eastover on Jan. 23. The robber fled the area in a white Toyota Camry, she said.

William Charles Dorff II, 49, Kirby Anthony Dorff, 46, and Jennifer Ann Smith, 31, all of 2702 Gilbert McLaurin Road in Fayetteville, have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy.

Authorities said William Dorff was pictured in bank surveillance video committing the robbery and that Kirby Dorff and Smith were waiting in the Camry.

I agree with the hard labor. Prisons have become the Club Med of Criminals. Prison is suppose to punish for the offense. Make it so they will not want to committ another crime for fear of returning to prison. That and the death penalty will stop a lot of crime. Not all, but I bet a lot.

About 10 years of hard labor without the possibility of parole should cure that.

Another instance where I have to wonder, what makes these people any different at all from terrorists. When a personacan't use an ATM, mind their own business and get on with their life, they have to withstand being robbed like this by parasites. Gitmo should be their next stop.
