— Wayne County deputies said Monday that they have arrested a third person in connection with a recent home invasion in Dudley in which a woman was sexually assaulted.

Montrel Keith Crawford, 16, of 1213 Franklin St. in Goldsboro, was charged Friday with first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, first-degree rape and larceny of a firearm. He was being held in the Wayne County jail under an $800,000 bond.

Four or five men men forced their way into a home on Genoa Road on March 8, and one of the men forced a 21-year-old woman in the home into a bedroom, where she was sexually assaulted, authorities said.

Meanwhile, the other intruders went through the home, forcing another woman and a child to sit in the living room while they stole several items, including a gun, authorities said.

The women didn't know their attackers, authorities said.

Tavares Monderio Allen, 21, of 1802 John Court in Goldsboro, and Jay Mark Jackson Jr., 20, of 908A Hugh St. in Goldsboro, were arrested earlier on the same charges. Both men remain in the Wayne County jail under $1.2 million bonds.

was arrested Thursday evening and charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, first-degree rape and larceny of a firearm.

The case remains under investigation.

"Goldsboro has MAJOR problems & the elected officials of the town & county are seriously blind and/or in denial!"

Oh it's denial alright. They've been looking the other way for too long, and now it's escalating.

Hope she's ok considering what she went through. Sure would be nice to have a high capacity magazine and an AR in this scenario.

Who says this woman didn't have access to a gun? Are they illegal in her city/county or something?

    Progress in America (1940-present):

    1. Homes are left unlocked
    2. Homes are locked
    3. Homes are burglarized when owners away
    4. Homes are burglarized when owners at home
    5. Homes are burglarized and owners are sexually assaulted

This is the price society pays when "political correctness" and "diversity" replace morality and responsibility.

Please give this 16 year old your typical harsh sentence, maybe such as time already served and six months probation, with a clean record in a couple years.

I really wish she would have had a gun, like the woman in Elm City. We shouldn't have to live our lives in fear because of these criminals that do not care about life.
