Third person arrested in Spring Lake homicide

Spring Lake, N.C. — A third person was arrested Monday in connection with a July homicide in Spring Lake.
Darryl Frederick Brown, Jr., 21, of 719 Reilly Rd. in Fayetteville, was arrested at the Cumberland County Probation and Parole Office. Brown was on probation after being convicted in 2013 for felony breaking and entering, drug possession, common law robbery, larceny of a motor vehicle and receiving a stolen vehicle.
Brown remained in the Cumberland County jail Monday under no bond.
Brown is charged with first-degree murder and shooting into an occupied property in the July 19 death of Carey Terelle McLean, who was shot and killed on the 400 block of D Street in Spring Lake.
Shaquan Darnell “Q” Parker, 23, was arrested Aug. 27 and Jerri “Tweet” Davis, 34, was arrested Oct. 9 in connection with the case.
Investigators said they anticipate additional arrests.
