Thief depletes diaper bank
The Diaper Bank of North Carolina was robbed over the weekend, and organizers are putting out the call for your help.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — The Diaper Bank of North Carolina was robbed over the weekend, and organizers are putting out the call for your help.
"We estimate a loss of between 10,000 and 13,000 diapers,” said Michelle Old, diaper bank executive director. Those diapers are only worth about $5,000, Old said, but they can help hundreds of needy families.
The Diaper Bank has set up both in-person and online ways to donate so that the supply can be boosted. Diapers in sizes 4 and 5 are especially needed, Old said.
