Raleigh, N.C. — The theater season is in full swing this week – take a look at some fun events going on.
A holiday favorite, Frosty the Snowman, continues this week at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets start at $14.
Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical opens at DPAC. The classic, fun story is perfect for the whole family. Tickets start at $20 and the show runs through Sunday.
Also opening today is We Will Rock You at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. The music of Queen is set in a futuristic world where rock music is banned. Tickets start at $25.
The annual Memories for Marcus fundraising event is today at the Daily Planet Cafe. Memories for Marcus benefits the WakeMed Children’s Hospital. The event features a buffet meal, a silent auction, door prizes and more.
Head to Marbles Kids Museum for a night of food, drinks and fun all to help Wake County children. It is the Capital City Clauses annual Jingle Ball. Just bring an unwrapped toy valued at $20 for a child (ages newborn to 12) or a $30 cash or check donation and then enjoy the fun!
View some gingerbread masterpieces at the 11th Annual Gingerbread Benefit at the Umstead Hotel. Proceeds benefit Triangle Family Services and their programs.
Also, Thursday evening is the RAWards Semifinals at Lincoln Theatre. The top three local artists in an online vote will have their art showcased, and the winners will be announced at the end of the evening.
