The week ahead: State Fair, Ghost Hunters

Go get your pumpkin! Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville has kicked off its Fall Pumpkin Festival. Admission includes a hayride, free pumpkin, giant slide, bounce house and more. Best to hit this place during the week and avoid the crowds if you can.


I ain't scared of no ghosts, but leave let's leave the hunting to these guys. Ghost Hunters Live visits Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight for an interactive show that includes stories about some of their favorite evidence through the years and behind the scenes footage.

Tony Award winning musical A Gentlemans Guide to Love and Murder opens tonight at DPAC. This musical is hilarious and fun. Tickets start at $35 and the show runs through Sunday.


The Carolina Railhawks his host their 7th annual Taste of the Triangle food and drink festival tonight before the team's game against Edmonton. The fest runs 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and includes food and beverages. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children 3 to 6 years of age.

If you want to laugh, Goodnights Comedy Club hosts Burlesque and Comedy tonight starting at 8 p.m.


The N.C. State Fair begins today! Gates open at 3 p.m.

And if you decide to skip the fair tonight, head to The Pour House to hear The ReBirth Brass Band bring some New Orleans jazz and funk to Raleigh.


The N.C. State Fairs opens for its first full day.

Also tonight, the North Carolina Symphony places Music from the Movies. Shows are Friday and Saturday nights at Meymandi Concert Hall.
